Assistant Professor of Molecular - Cellular Biology
About The Position
The University of Redlands is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Molecular/Cellular Biology for its College of Arts & Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both lecture and laboratory courses for non-majors and majors, equivalent to 24 units. A key aspect of this role is building a productive research program that actively involves undergraduates through close mentorship and providing dedicated student advising. Expertise in any area of molecular/cellular biology is welcomed, and collaborations with nearby institutions like LLUMC are possible. Requirements
- A Ph.D. (by the time of hire) in Biology or a closely related field.
- A strong commitment to quality undergraduate education.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Preparation for teaching the molecular/cellular component of the introductory biology sequence.
- Strengths and experiences working with students from culturally and/or socio-economically diverse backgrounds.
- Experience and a demonstrated interest in working with students of under-represented groups in achieving academic success.
