About The Position

Marshall University (School of Medicine) seeks an Assistant Professor of Medicine in General Internal Medicine to provide evaluation and care to patients in ambulatory practice at School of Medicine affiliated clinic locations and for inpatients at affiliated hospitals as assigned on a rotational basis. Position will participate in after-hours on call coverage rotations, participate in clinical practice/teaching opportunities with medical students and residents, and initiate and complete clinical research with medical students and residents as part of their scholarly activities.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia.
• Eligible for credentialing by affiliated hospitals and clinics.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in academic medicine.
• Experience in clinical research.
• Demonstrated teaching experience with medical students and residents.
