The Kinesiology Department at the University of Redlands is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2027. This is a new and growing program, and the university seeks to support and broaden its existing curriculum to meet increasing student interest and demand. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic teacher-scholar who will contribute to the program's development through excellence in teaching, undergraduate mentorship, and collaborative engagement across disciplines. The successful candidate will teach courses for both non-majors and majors, and involve undergraduates in research and experiential learning opportunities. Collaboration with neighboring institutions, such as Loma Linda University Medical Center, is encouraged to foster a dynamic academic environment. Applicants with broad training in exercise physiology, biomechanics, or related areas within kinesiology, as well as clinical and/or professional experience, are preferred. The University of Redlands is an independent, regional, comprehensive university with strong liberal arts roots, and is a Hispanic Serving Institution committed to diversity and transformative experiential learning opportunities through its Core Four initiative (undergraduate research, community service learning, internships, and study away). Candidates enthusiastic about supporting student participation in high-impact practices and integrating experiential learning into their teaching, mentoring, and advising are welcome.
