The Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) at the University of Florida is seeking an Assistant Professor of Geomatics with a specialization in Cadastral Principles, Land Title, Boundaries, and Surveys. This is a 9-month, tenure-accruing position that will be 60% teaching and 40% extension. The faculty member will be responsible for designing and delivering undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, supervising projects, and contributing to curriculum innovation. Extension duties will involve creating and leading a statewide program focused on cadastral systems, land tenure, and surveying geospatial infrastructure, including delivering workshops and training. The faculty member will also seek contract and grant funding to support their program and actively participate in departmental governance and professional organizations.
