About The Position

This is a tenure-track faculty position with expectations for teaching on-campus full-time during the academic year. The responsibilities associated with this position include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of food and nutrition; engaging in research and scholarship activities; and engaging in service to the department, university and profession. The Food and Nutrition program is part of the School of Health Sciences and Wellness (SHSW) which has over 1400 students and offers 6 undergraduate majors, 7 graduate degree programs, and several certificate programs. The Assistant Professor of Food and Nutrition is a full-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month), faculty position.

Requirements

Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in food and/or nutrition related field, or ABD nearing completion with retention dependent upon completing the doctorate within one year of initial hire
Good interpersonal skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Effective and collaborative team member
Eligibility to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Supply a minimum of three (3) professional references (one (1) of which being a current or former supervisor).
