Tenure-Stream Position in Behavioral Economics
About The Position
Colgate University's Economics Department is seeking to fill a tenure-stream position in behavioral economics, starting in the fall semester of 2027. While the primary focus is behavioral economics, applications in any broadly related field are welcome. The university anticipates hiring at the Assistant Professor level, but exceptional candidates may be considered for Associate or Full Professor positions. Colgate University is a liberal arts institution with 3,200 students, located in central New York. Faculty at Colgate are dedicated to excellence in both teaching and research, and are expected to contribute to the university's all-encompassing programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Economics or a related field, to be completed prior to or shortly after the date of hire.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in both teaching and scholarship.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and identities, as described in the cover letter.
- Submission of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness, and a sample of recent scholarship.
