About The Position

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Davidson College is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computer Science, starting July 1, 2027. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field by Fall 2027. Davidson College is an undergraduate-only institution known for small class sizes and extensive student-faculty interaction, consistently ranked among the top liberal arts colleges. Faculty typically teach four courses in their first year and five thereafter, with opportunities to teach special topics, independent studies, and interdisciplinary courses. The computer science program is well-established with a flexible curriculum and strong student support. Faculty are active researchers, often supported by external funding, and collaborate with students on research that leads to publications and presentations. The department fosters a collaborative environment with regular social and academic events for students and faculty.

Requirements
