Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice - Family Medicine
About The Position
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) Department of Family Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice. This position is 50% clinical and 50% research. Clinical duties involve direct patient care, teaching, and supervision of Family Medicine residents and medical students, as well as covering other clinical services as needed. Research responsibilities include developing an independently funded research program, with departmental support for the first three years, and the requirement to fund 50% of research salary support by year three. Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- A strong commitment to research, patient care, medical student, and resident education
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- A history of extramural funding and peer reviewer publication and other scholarship is preferred
