About The Position

The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, conducting cutting edge and funded research; student advising, mentoring and recruitment; curriculum development, producing scholarly products and all other activities required for a successful academic career. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engaging in accreditation procedures, program assessment and service to the department, College and University as needed.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering area is required.
  • A sincere commitment to excellence in teaching
  • An ability to conduct high quality, externally funded research in an area of chemical, biochemical or biomedical engineering must be demonstrated.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred research areas are artificial intelligence, chemical process control, and modeling.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to teach core chemical engineering courses in thermodynamics, transport processes, process control, and reaction engineering.
  • Post-doctoral experience is desirable.
