Assistant Professor of Chemical Biological & Bioengineering
About The Position
The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, conducting cutting-edge and funded research, student advising, mentoring, and recruitment, curriculum development, producing scholarly products, and all other activities required for a successful academic career. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engaging in accreditation procedures, program assessment, and service to the department, College, and University as needed. This is a 9-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering area is required.
- A sincere commitment to excellence in teaching
- An ability to conduct high quality, externally funded research in an area of chemical, biochemical or biomedical engineering must be demonstrated.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred research areas are artificial intelligence, chemical process control, and modeling.
- Candidates must be willing and able to teach core chemical engineering courses in thermodynamics, transport processes, process control, and reaction engineering.
- Post-doctoral experience is desirable.
