About The Position

The Natural Science Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Biology, specializing in cellular/genetics/microbiology, to commence employment on August 1, 2027. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. by August 1, 2027, in a relevant field such as cell/molecular biology, genetics, or microbiology, and possess the ability to teach and conduct research in these areas. This role requires a commitment to contributing to the Pepperdine experience through teaching, research, mentoring undergraduate students, and service to the university, profession, and community. The position involves teaching cell and molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology, including associated laboratory components. Requirements

Completed Ph.D. by August 1, 2027, in cell/molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, or a closely related discipline.
Ability to teach and conduct research in cell/molecular biology, genetics, or microbiology.
Ability to teach cell and molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology with an associated laboratory curriculum.
Demonstrated promise to establish an active scholarly program.
