About The Position
The Virginia Military Institute Department of Applied Mathematics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in applied mathematics at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will teach a wide variety of undergraduate courses. Faculty members are expected to participate in cadet development and professional citizenship duties, such as advising and committee work. Members of the faculty wear uniforms and adhere to military customs and courtesy although military experience is not required.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Excellence in teaching.
- An ongoing program of scholarly activity.
