About The Position

George Fox University's College of Business is seeking to fill a faculty position in accounting, starting in August 2026. This role will primarily focus on the undergraduate accounting program, with potential opportunities to teach graduate-level courses. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to teach a wide array of accounting courses, with a preference for expertise in managerial accounting, tax planning, accounting ethics, and financial accounting and reporting. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in professional and scholarly activities, supervise internships, advise students, and fulfill other faculty duties. Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in accounting or a related field will be given preference.
  • A Master's degree and an active CPA are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching a broad range of undergraduate courses within the curriculum of the College of Business in areas such as managerial accounting, tax planning, accounting ethics, and financial accounting and reporting.
  • Engaging with professional accounting and financial planning communities.
  • Participating in the work of the department and the university, including advising and serving on university committees as needed.
  • Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
  • Being a Christian role model to students through actions, words, and lifestyle.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Supervising internships.
  • Advising students.
