About The Position

UNT Health, the academic clinical practice for the University of North Texas Health Science Center, seeks a dedicated Neurologist to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The position supports collaborative clinical and academic efforts to enhance access, quality, and continuity of care across the community and affiliated partners. The successful candidate will provide excellent clinical care, contribute to medical education, and collaborate in alignment with the mission and values of UNT Health and TCOM.

The Department of Internal and Specialty Medicine is dedicated to patient care, medical education, research, and community engagement. It provides comprehensive primary and specialty care through an integrated, multidisciplinary model serving patients across North Texas. Faculty deliver clinical care, educate future healthcare professionals, advance scholarly activity, and work with healthcare professionals, learners, and community partners to improve health outcomes.

The position includes direct patient care through UNT Health clinics and affiliated clinical sites, teaching and supervision of learners, participation in scholarly or quality improvement activities, and contribution to departmental and institutional initiatives. This is a full-time, security-sensitive position based in Fort Worth. No adverse environmental conditions are expected; the physical requirement listed is communicating with others to exchange information.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Neurology.
• Board eligible or board certified in Neurology.
• Eligible for or holds an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas; a current Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one is required.
• DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances, if applicable.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills in Neurology.
• Ability to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring students and residents in a clinical learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team.
• Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and respect for all.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in academic or teaching environments.
• Experience in both hospital and outpatient settings, as applicable.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines and clinical settings.
