The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking a board-certified physician at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join its growing Division of Hematology/Oncology. This role will serve Southeast Texas through UTMB's multi-campus health system. The faculty member will provide comprehensive adult hematology and oncology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, and support infusion and inpatient oncology services. Key responsibilities include teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, engaging in clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives, and developing scholarly activities aligned with personal interests and the division’s strategic priorities. The Department of Internal Medicine is the largest department within UTMB's John Sealy School of Medicine and focuses on data-driven strategies, precision medicine, and the integration of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. The Division of Hematology & Oncology provides comprehensive services including outpatient clinics, infusion centers, inpatient oncology units, a Blood Disorders Clinic, a Survivorship and Late Effects Clinic, and palliative care collaboration. It also boasts multidisciplinary and research programs, a Clinical Trials Unit, and educational initiatives like a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Training Program.
