The Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology at The University of Kansas Medical Center provides high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care within their area of specialization, including the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with hematologic malignancies, including those receiving hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cellular therapies. This position is jointly employed by The University of Kansas Medical Center and The University of Kansas Health System and contributes to the clinical, educational, research, and service missions of both institutions. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the faculty member actively participates in the education and mentorship of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. The individual also contributes to departmental and divisional academic activities through teaching, scholarly engagement, committee service, and other activities that advance the missions of the department, division, and institution.
