About The Position

The Department of Systems and Operations Management at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Information Systems at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach related to Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and AI Governance, and have research interests in Information Systems. In addition to teaching, the position requires weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, participation in assessment of student learning, and service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate may be required to teach on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and/or online and will be held to the standards and requirements of the college and department in which he/she/they is/are housed for recommending tenure and promotion. Requirements

Doctoral degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an accredited institution by August 19, 2027.
Evidence of effective teaching experience or potential for teaching at the college or university-level teaching experience both online and in-person.
Evidence of or clear potential for successful scholarly research in Information Systems.
Evidence of effective engagement or potential to engage with a diverse student body.
At the time of appointment, candidates must meet current AACSB International standards for classification as Scholarly Academic (SA) and must continue to maintain this classification throughout their tenure.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

Teach related to Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and AI Governance.
Conduct research in Information Systems.
Hold weekly office hours.
Attend faculty meetings.

Provide service to the department, college, and university.
