About The Position

The UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking an academic faculty psychiatrist for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, suitable for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor-Clinician Educator. The successful candidate will have opportunities for multicultural clinical care, scholarly and collaborative research activities, and professional development in leadership, administration, and education. This role includes mentoring and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in related disciplines. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and academic background.

Requirements

Medical Doctor (or equivalent) degree
Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Eligible for licensure in the State of New Mexico
Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Serve as an attending psychiatrist in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division.

Mentor and supervise medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in related disciplines.
Pursue professional development opportunities in leadership, administration, and education.
