About The Position

The Assistant Professor will serve as a member of the Division of Hematology within the Department of Internal Medicine. This role involves embarking on a research program in the specialty of hematology, obtaining external research funding, supervising lab staff, and participating in the academic commitments of the division and department. The position is tenure-track, with duties and responsibilities assigned in accordance with workload guidelines, including research, service, and/or teaching or clinical practice. The faculty member must have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possess equivalent experience.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent in a related field
  • An established record or strong evidence of the ability to achieve an extramurally-funded and productive scholarship program in a discipline of medical laboratory science or related field
  • Ability to mentor undergraduate and graduate students
  • Earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience
