Teach didactic courses and coordinate clinical education within the Associate of Applied Science Health Information Technology (HIT) program. This includes planning, supervising, and evaluating student clinical experiences at affiliated healthcare facilities. The role involves providing instruction in health information management, coding, and related coursework. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours, traveling to clinical sites to support student learning and healthcare partnerships, serving on college committees, participating in professional development and faculty evaluations, promoting the department and its mission, supporting student success, and contributing to college and community activities. Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned, which could include non-traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual-credit, blended, and/or online courses. This position exercises no supervision. This is a security-sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
