About The Position

The Department of Medical Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University, Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC), is seeking a highly qualified academic physician in Medical Oncology to join the Division of Solid Tumor, with a focus on GYN Medical Oncology. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding disease-focused early academic physician at the Assistant Professor rank, with a strong focus and some prior experience in clinical research in GYN oncology and have the potential to build a national reputation as an independent investigator and leader in clinical research. Experience in translational research is of additional interest but not required. An interest in education and an early track record of mentoring of trainees is also welcome. The SKCCC is an NCI-comprehensive cancer center that includes researchers from Thomas Jefferson University and Drexel University and offers outstanding shared core facilities. The SKCCC is located in the heart of Philadelphia, a vibrant urban cultural scene with an abundance of opportunities for professional and social interactions. Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • BC/BE in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
  • Eligible for a medical license in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong focus and some prior experience in clinical research in GYN oncology.
  • Potential to build a national reputation as an independent investigator and leader in clinical research.
