About The Position

The primary location of this position is at the Biltmore Park campus in Asheville, NC. The School of Nursing at Western Carolina University is seeking applicants for a 12-month, tenure track Assistant Professor position as the Family Nurse Practitioner Program Coordinator. Anticipated start date will be August 1, 2026. This position's primary responsibilities include: assisting with program coordination, advising students, curriculum development, and clinical experience development, coordinate and teach courses in FNP major and related programs as appropriate. Expectations of this position include online and face to face teaching of courses. In addition, Western Carolina University has adopted the Boyer Model of Scholarship to support its commitment to integrated learning, the scholarship of engagement, and the stewardship of place.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Eligibility for RN licensure in NC
  • Doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited institution
