The incumbent will develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative farm management program that addresses critical farm management issues affecting Ohioans, including marketing and price analysis, farm financial management and investing, risk evaluation and management, agricultural processing, environmental issues, and farm entry among other issues, and integrates AEDE's research, teaching and outreach in the area. The Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Farm Management and Policy is expected to work as part of a coordinated, integrated, and collaborative team conducting research and engagement on areas related to farm management, consisting of multi-disciplinary researchers, state specialists, Extension educators, external partners/stakeholders, research translators, and communicators. In collaboration with the AEDE Outreach and Communications Manager and OSU Extension, the Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Farm Management and Policy will develop and manage communications and outreach strategies for AEDE's farm management program and serve as an active member of the AEDE Outreach Committee. The incumbent will teach the equivalent 1-2 classes through full or partial classroom instruction in AEDE's undergraduate and graduate programs, and/or development of modern curriculum, modules, and practical tools for use by the incumbent and others in classes, Extension programming, and professional/workforce development.
