The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Advanced Manufacturing prepares students for employment in the manufacturing career cluster. The program provides instruction for content including instrumentation and measurement, manufacturing processes and materials, quality control, computer-aided drafting, electronics, robotics, semiconductor manufacturing, and safety. Additionally, the program’s content aligns with the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council’s (MSSC) skills standards. Under general supervision, the Assistant Professor will develop, prepare, and teach a variety of coursework related to Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing. This position will be housed at the Northwest campus but may be assigned to one of the College’s six educational centers throughout Alachua and Bradford counties. Candidates must have the flexibility to teach during the day, evening, or online, as well as taught using other distance learning formats. This position has a 9-month contract based on teaching 15 credit hours in the fall and 15 credit hours in the spring. Summer instructional opportunities may be available for additional compensation based upon departmental need. The position’s starting salary is $50,303 annually. Any salary amount above this is commensurate upon an individual’s qualifications.
