About The Position

The Fairburn Campus of Georgia Military College is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in the Economics discipline. Georgia Military College (GMC) operates on an accelerated quarter system with five terms annually. This is a full-time, annually renewable faculty position with a teaching load of 20 credit hours per quarter (Fall 1, Fall, Winter, and Spring). The contract period is for twelve months. While teaching is not required during the summer term, faculty who teach in the summer receive additional compensation based on the adjunct faculty pay scale. The role involves regular evening teaching assignments to accommodate non-traditional students. The review process begins immediately and continues until all positions are filled. Requirements

  • A Masters degree in Economics or a Masters degree and 18sh or 30qh of graduate coursework in Economics.
  • Two or more years of teaching experience.
  • Must be willing to teach day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
  • Clear a criminal background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching freshman and sophomore level Economics courses.
  • Experience teaching in a community college environment.
  • Ph.D. is preferred.
