About The Position

Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is seeking an innovative leader for the position of Medical Diagnostic Imaging Faculty within the Department of Allied Health. This role involves collaborating with faculty to advance the department's vision and goals, supporting graduate imaging programs, the Radiologic Technology program, the Medical Diagnostic Imaging (MDI) program, the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program, and online certificate programs. Key responsibilities include teaching undergraduate on-campus and online courses, mentoring students, engaging in scholarly activities, and performing professional service. The ideal candidate will value diversity, be committed to educational excellence, and understand the roles of both traditional and distance learning systems, as well as the needs of faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree
  • Must be ARRT and/or ARDMS credentialed
  • Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science or doctoral degree
  • Involvement in appropriate professional organizations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with educational technology
  • Successful teaching experience both on-campus and on-line
  • Experience in any of the following specialty areas: mammography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, cardiovascular-interventional technology, diagnostic medical sonography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, bone densitometry, PACS administration, or imaging administration

Responsibilities

  • Classroom and/or laboratory instruction
  • On-line teaching of undergraduate and/or potential graduate coursework
  • Coordinating clinical experiences to include clinical travel
  • Mentoring and recruitment of students
  • Engaging in service and scholarly related activities
  • Facilitate the current vision and goals established within the department
  • Support all programs within the Department of Allied Health through collaboration with fellow colleagues
