About The Position

The Division of General Gynecology & Obstetrics at Emory University is seeking a Laborist committed to an academic career in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This role involves primary clinical responsibilities within the Division of General Gynecology & Obstetrics, focusing on obstetric triage, labor management, and emergency gynecology consultation. Responsibilities also include participation in the Obstetric Rapid Response Team, and urgent inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecologic surgery. Candidates should be comfortable providing a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecologic care to medically complex patients. This role would supervise any mid-level providers assigned to the clinical practice location. All Emory providers are expected to demonstrate outstanding activity in the teaching aspects of the Department, specifically by providing teaching instruction and supervision to healthcare learners in Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME obstetrics and gynecology residency.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
  • Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Responsibilities
