About The Position
The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas is recruiting an anesthesiologist over the next 6-12 months. This is a full-time academic anesthesiology position at the rank of assistant professor, clinical faculty appointment (CFA), and will initially carry a 90% clinical effort.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years as Instructor or minimum 4 years post degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist or GME trainee.
- Board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (or approved foreign equivalent).
- Actively participating in the Maintenance of Certification Program, or in the examination system with the ABA.
- Unrestricted Texas medical license in good standing before onboarding.
- Ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of critical infrastructure.
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship specialty training with experience in academic anesthesiology is strongly preferred.
