About The Position

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking an Assistant Professor-Clinical for the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. The candidate will perform and interpret radiologic procedures in the field of Cardiothoracic Imaging for patients at McGovern Medical School and our affiliated locations, including Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Hospital, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (HCA), and outpatient imaging facilities in the Cardiothoracic Imaging Section.

Requirements

• MD degree or Foreign Equivalent
• Board-certified or Board-Eligible in Radiology
• Texas Medical License or eligible to be licensed
• ACGME-accredited Radiology residency or 48 months of international equivalent
• 12 months of fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret radiologic procedures in the field of Cardiothoracic Imaging.
• Read and interpret cardiothoracic radiographs, thoracic CT, and cardiovascular CT and MRI exams.
• Interact with referring physicians.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to educational activities such as lectures and case conferences.
• Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly publications.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate on practice development and operational planning.
