The Department of Accounting & Finance in the Lucas College of Business at San José State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Accounting to begin in August 2027. The role involves teaching a range of accounting courses, including financial, managerial, analytics, or internal audit, within undergraduate, MS Accounting Analytics, and MBA programs. The position also requires engaging in scholarly research for highly respected accounting journals and contributing to service at the department, college, or university levels. The department focuses on undergraduate finance, accounting, and tax disciplines with a technological emphasis and encourages interdisciplinary research. It houses Master of Science degrees in Accounting Analytics and Financial Analytics, and includes centers for excellence in Banking and Financial Services, Accounting Advancement, and High Technology Tax.
