About The Position

The College of Business and Economics at Anderson University invites applications for a professional-track, ten-month instructional position in Accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor. The preferred start date for the position is Spring 2027. This role supports the growth of the Accounting program, focusing primarily on Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. While most classes are in-seat for undergraduate students, the faculty member may teach undergraduate and graduate classes on the Anderson main campus, the Greenville campus, and/or online. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention, seeking candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning. The College of Business and Economics is ACBSP accredited, with 20 full-time faculty, serving approximately 500 graduate and undergraduate students across various degree programs. Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Accounting, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting.
• Strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification.
• Record of successful teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Work experience within the field of Accounting.
• Exceptionally well-qualified candidates with teaching and industry-related experience may be considered for appointment at an advanced rank (associate or full professor).

Responsibilities

• Support the successful growth of the Accounting program within the College of Business and Economics.
• Teach classes primarily focusing on Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting.
• Potentially teach undergraduate and graduate classes offered at the Anderson main campus, the Greenville campus, and/or online.
