As a Assistant Shift Supervisor, you will support the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily manufacturing operations. You’ll help establish production priorities, coordinate cross-functional activities, and drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the production floor.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations and production planning.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement strategies to meet business goals.
  • Financial and analytical skills to support operational decision-making.
  • Proven success in change management and process improvement.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of international logistics and customs regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting production and quality control standards in collaboration with management.
  • Gather and analyze data related to product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resource utilization.
  • Review reports to identify and resolve production and quality issues.
  • Support efforts to minimize scrap and MRO (Materials Request Order) usage.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and promote operational efficiency.
  • Monitor production metrics and prepare monthly performance reports.
  • Drive improvements in defect rates and overall production quality.
  • Ensure employees understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adequate stock of operational supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems and address recurring issues.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data for analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
