About The Position

This position supports manufacturing operations by assisting with the coordination and oversight of production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. The Assistant Production Supervisor partners with production leadership to drive operational excellence, support team development, and promote continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production processes, and quality systems.
  • Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interpret reports, metrics, and production performance data.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with SPC systems and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or a similar industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing production priorities and coordinating daily manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements and operational goals.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of production and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate production activities with Procurement, Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Review production, quality, and operational performance data to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive corrective actions.
  • Assist in reducing scrap, minimizing MRO usage, and improving overall operational effectiveness.
  • Monitor production metrics and contribute to monthly performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support efforts to reduce defects per million (DPM) and improve product quality and process capability.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the production environment.
  • Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and help identify, escalate, and resolve recurring production issues.
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze production-related data to support operational decision-making.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements designed to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
