About The Position

The Associate Production Planner Buyer works with internal partners in manufacturing to understand material and demand requirements. This role is responsible for scheduling the planning and procuring material requirements for various eyewear categories. The Associate Production Planner Buyer will work alongside Planners to support production plans that drive optimal inventory levels, schedule new releases to ensure material coverage of launch dates, and identify instances when supplier orders need to be expedited. This role partners with Planners to mitigate delays in schedules due to unforeseen conditions and builds partnerships with internal clients and local suppliers to support the efforts of Sr./Planners. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of experience in Production purchasing and/or planning
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Experience with SAP MM, PP and/or BW
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and basic MS desktop applications

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
• MRP experience in a manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience

Responsibilities

• Schedule the planning and procuring material requirements for various eyewear categories
• Work alongside Planners to support production plans that drive optimal inventory levels
• Work on scheduling new releases to ensure material coverage of launch dates
• Identifies instances when supplier orders need to be expedited and partners with Planners to mitigate a delay in schedules due to unforeseen conditions
• Builds partnership with internal clients and local suppliers to support the efforts of Sr./Planners
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed
