About The Position

The Assistant Production Manager will support the Director of Production across all areas of production operations, helping to ensure the seamless execution of concerts and private events at the FTL War Memorial. This role is designed to assist with the day-to-day operational workload of the Director of Production, allowing them to focus on higher-level priorities while maintaining ownership of their events. A key function of this role is to provide split-shift event day coverage alongside the Director of Production, with each independently managing either load-in or load-out operations. This shared coverage model ensures full-day event execution without requiring either party to work excessive hours, while maintaining a period of overlap during the event day for alignment and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of all aspects of venues, sound, lighting, video, and rigging, and be an excellent creative problem-solver who approaches difficult situations with a solution-oriented mindset. They will excel at prioritizing tasks, managing their own workflow and that of a labor crew, and have a network of colleagues in the field to hire and consult with about various production needs. This person will thrive in a small, rigorous, team-oriented environment with the ability to work under pressure in rapidly changing circumstances.
