About The Position

Be part of something new! Healthy Living is opening a new store in Clifton Park and is seeking an experienced Assistant Produce & Floral Manager to join our team! The Assistant Produce & Floral Manager supports the daily operations of the Produce & Floral department by overseeing purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, and team development. This role helps ensure the department runs efficiently, assists with hiring, training, and staff support, and uses ordering systems and inventory data to meet sales and budget goals. Working closely with the Produce & Floral Manager and Category Manager, this position also provides valuable guest feedback, operational insights, and recommendations to support departmental success.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of retail leadership experience (grocery or natural foods preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of produce, purchasing, inventory management, and ordering systems
  • Experience working with vendors and managing department performance
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for leading teams and creating an exceptional shopping experience

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the Produce & Floral department, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Lead, train, coach, and support team members while assisting with hiring, scheduling, and performance.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, replenishment, and vendor relationships to meet department goals.
  • Create fresh, well-stocked, visually appealing displays while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and provide valuable feedback and insights to department leadership to drive continuous improvement.
