About The Position

Manor Middle School, in Killeen, Texas, is seeking an Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves assuming leadership and responsibility for school functions, instruction, and outcomes, managing the day-to-day operations, and fostering a positive and high-performance culture. The Assistant Principal will guide staff towards a shared vision, implement action plans, monitor progress, and focus on improving instructional quality and student academic achievement. This position also includes responsibilities for staff development, recruitment, retention, and communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required, or currently enrolled in a program
  • Minimum of two years administrative experience in a K-12 setting
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience
  • Early literacy specialist
  • Ability to provide exceptional instructional feedback
  • Motivate and inspire staff
  • Multi-task and excellent time management
  • Superior knowledge of operational leadership and effectiveness
  • Solid understanding of basic teaching pedagogy

  • Licensure is preferred, but not required.
