Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Education Administration with at least three years of experience as a teacher; or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Knowledge in the development, planning, organization, implementation, and management of instructional programs and practices designed to meet educational objectives and requirements.
  • Knowledge of the standards, regulations, and laws relating to educational activities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with school and GREEN staff.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid school principal certificate is favored.
  • Other certifications are a plus.
  • Candidates who do not have a principal certificate will be required to develop a plan to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with students and parents, promoting effective communication between school and home.
  • Contributes to and encourages a healthy school culture with staff and students.
  • Handles disciplinary issues with discernment, fairness, and a growth mindset.
  • Develops and implements community building restorative practices.
  • Ensures that the school facility is an attractive, pleasant, and productive place in which to work and learn.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the school.
  • Contributes to the planning, organization, and implementation of all school activities.
  • Interprets, upholds, and enforces school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies; discusses and resolves student problems.
  • Supervises school staff and students.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the principal.
