About The Position

Serves as the educational assistant of the school, supporting educational programs and services. Assists the principal in implementing district programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for the school and its educational program, providing effective curricular leadership, and assisting with the selection, induction, and development of personnel. Provides leadership for positive educational change, communicates and promotes standards of performance, and balances administrative and supervisory duties. Identifies needed changes and improvements in the school plant and provides sound fiscal management. Utilizes effective practices to promote desirable student conduct and demonstrates effective skills in problem analysis, decision-making, judgment, communication, and interpersonal relations. Promotes a positive interpersonal climate in the school building and adheres to administrative standards. Participates in professional growth activities, models positive work habits, and assumes responsibilities outside the school as assigned by the principal. Adheres to the professional code of ethics, maintains regular attendance, and incorporates technology in daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Valid State Teacher Certificate (Preferred)
  • Appropriate Administrative Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Assist in effective evaluation of all personnel.
  • Provide leadership for positive educational change.

  • Budget time to achieve balance between administrative and supervisory duties.
  • Identify needed changes and improvement in school plant.
  • Assist to provide sound fiscal management of building resources and programs.
  • Utilize effective practices to promote desirable student conduct.
  • Demonstrate effective skills in problem analysis, decision-making, and judgment.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations with students, staff, and community.
  • Promote and nurture a positive interpersonal climate in the school building.
  • Adhere to the administrative standards set by the Hardin County Board of Education.
  • Participate in professional growth activities.
  • Hold high expectations for self as evidenced by modeling positive work habits and behaviors.
  • Assume responsibilities outside the school as related to school matters.
  • Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.
