About The Position

Purpose Academy seeks a Christ-centered, collaborative servant-leader to serve as Assistant Principal. This role is designed for a leader who is energized by supporting the spiritual, academic, and character formation of students, while strengthening teachers and helping carry out the mission of the school with excellence and grace. The Assistant Principal works closely with the Principal, faculty, and school leadership team to help maintain a Christ-honoring learning environment where students can thrive. The ideal candidate should be deeply committed to Christian education, student development, and the daily rhythms that make a school flourish. The Assistant Principal serves under the leadership of the Principal and Superintendent and plays a vital role in advancing the school’s mission through instructional support, staff encouragement, student oversight, and operational follow-through. This position requires wisdom, flexibility, discernment, and a willingness to step in wherever needed to help the school function smoothly and effectively. The Assistant Principal is also accountable to the Advisory Board for supporting the mission, values, and overall direction of the school.

Requirements

At least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
A strong background in teaching, student support, curriculum implementation, or school leadership is preferred.
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of professional experience.
Strong instructional judgment.
A deep understanding of learning and child development.
The ability to build trust across a school community.
Humility, teachability, initiative, and a sincere desire to serve Purpose Academy students, families, and faculty well.

Responsibilities

Partners with the Principal and Superintendent to strengthen the academic program and ensure that curriculum is implemented with fidelity and care.
Supports teachers through coaching, encouragement, and practical guidance in lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional delivery.
Helps monitor student progress, attendance, behavior, and overall well-being in a Christ-centered school environment.
Assists in the coordination of professional development that equips faculty to grow in both skill and calling.
Serves as a visible presence among students and staff, helping nurture a culture of respect, order, joy, and accountability.
Works alongside the Principal to ensure compliance with school policies, reporting requirements, and day-to-day operational needs.
Helps oversee the implementation of school procedures related to safety, discipline, communication, and student support.
Collaborates with school leadership in the coordination of events, meetings, and other activities that support the school community.
Assists in building strong partnerships with parents by addressing concerns with wisdom, care, and professionalism.
Encourages a school culture that reflects Christian values, servant leadership, and a commitment to excellence in all things.
