The Assistant Principal shall be accountable for accomplishing specific assignments as defined by the Principal. This role involves directing disciplinary and attendance policies, coordinating record-keeping, making required reports, and assisting with instructional materials and extra-curricular activities. The Assistant Principal will also counsel students, coordinate with external agencies on delinquency matters, and assist in supervising and evaluating personnel to improve the instructional process. Responsibilities include curriculum planning, supervising custodians, assuming principal responsibilities in their absence, conducting staff development, fostering a positive learning environment, assisting with standardized testing, conducting inventories, and maintaining a safe physical plant. The role also involves interpreting rules for teachers and de-escalating concerns from students, parents, and staff, while adhering to the district's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
