About The Position

Apparo Academy is a Christian school and early intervention program that focuses on a therapeutic education for children with special needs alongside their typically developing peers. The teachers, therapists, and nurse all work together to create a top notch program where children make physical, emotional, and cognitive gains daily. Apparo means "to make ready," so our goal is to equip each of our students with the tools they need for the future. The Assistant Principal Position As Assistant Principal, you’ll be the steady second set of hands (and eyes) that keeps classrooms running smoothly and teachers growing with confidence. This role exists to strengthen instruction, support students, and keep our program aligned with licensing and Quality Rated expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (education or special education)
• Initiative, flexibility, and a true team-player mindset
• Friendly, confident mentoring and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor teachers through observation, feedback, and follow-up
• Support licensing and Quality Rated rules, documentation, and readiness
• Review lesson plans and newsletters; offer clear, helpful edits
• Partner with the Principal to support teachers, parents, and students
• Help guide student behavior support alongside the team
• Lead new-teacher onboarding, training, and curriculum support
• Help plan fun, student-centered events
