Assistant Primary Teacher-$1,000 Hiring Bonus
About The Position
Kinderhouse Montessori is seeking an Assistant Primary Teacher to help create a safe, positive learning environment for children. The role assists with implementing age-appropriate curriculum, preparing and organizing learning materials, and supervising children during activities, meals, and naptime. The teacher also helps lead learning activities that promote children’s development, monitors children’s progress, and contributes to a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The position requires 12 Child Development Education units as required by the State of California, as well as the ability to speak and understand both Spanish and English. The starting pay is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. A $1,000 hiring bonus is payable in two installments: $500 at three months and $500 at six months, provided the employee is in good standing at each payout.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 12 Child Development Education units, required by the State of California.
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish and English.
- Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
- Prior experience with toddler and preschool students.
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
