About The Position

The Assistant Teacher Position Summary is to plan, organize and implement an age-appropriate instructional program in a play-based learning environment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director. Duties & Responsibilities include supporting the mission, vision, and goals of Liberty Kids, promoting and adhering to Liberty Kids policies and procedures, and investing in the preschooler’s well-being, health, and safety physically/socially/emotionally for ultimate academic excellence. The role involves creating an engaging learning environment conducive to effective instruction and maintaining standards of scholar behavior. The Assistant Teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and instructional materials that facilitate active learning, provide direct instruction using a traditional curriculum, and instruct and monitor scholars in the use of learning materials and equipment. Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities and observing and evaluating scholars’ performance and development are also key responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or currently enrolled in High School
6 months childcare experience
Must be 16 years old
Infant/Toddler CPR and First Aid Certified
Successfully pass a Childcare Registry Background Check
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Professional and friendly disposition
Proficient with computers and software applications including Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite.
