About The Position

The Goddard School located in 1700 Montgomery St Suite 100 San Francisco, CA 94111 is looking for a motivated self-starter for an Assistant director’s position. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, and management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool is required. Must be aware of CA licensing requirements. A candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and have a good understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children. Requirements

BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field including 18 semester hours of completed coursework, including 12 hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8, and management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
Site Supervisor/Director permit.
Infant Units.
Prior assistant director experience in a Preschool Setting
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Commitment to Professional Development
Proficient in basic computer skills using Microsoft office, Outlook, Canva.
Minimum of 12 months working experience in a large center environment.
ACTIVE and CLEAR DOJ LIVESCAN REQUIRED.
Mandated Reporter Certification.
CPR and First Aid Certification.
A current physical examination by a Physician, including a current tuberculin test.
Must submit accurate shot record including MMR, T-dap and Influenza.
An approved criminal record check as required by state regulations.
Complete California state required health clearance.

Overseeing preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, staff scheduling and facility operations
Developing strong relationships with our families
Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education
Will be in classroom including Infants to preschool classroom to cover for other team members or ratio requirements.
