About The Position

The Assistant Preconstruction Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the daily coordination, management, and successful execution of the preconstruction phase of projects. This role assists in ensuring that cost objectives are met through effective estimating, scheduling, bidding, and contracting efforts. The Assistant Preconstruction Manager collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to help drive project success and is capable of managing smaller scopes or specific disciplines within a project.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support successful project outcomes.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at all times, helping to enhance its reputation and promote future business opportunities.
  • Communicate proactively, identifying and sharing new project opportunities and keeping leadership informed of any risks or challenges.
  • Support preconstruction efforts by preparing detailed estimates, assisting with takeoffs, analyzing bids, and contributing to cost modeling throughout design phases.
  • Collaborate with the Preconstruction Manager and project teams to develop project strategies, schedules, logistics plans, and presentations for clients.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by modeling behaviors that prioritize the well-being of every team member on every project.
  • Continuously grow your knowledge of construction processes, tools, and financial drivers while actively contributing to team improvement and your own professional development.
