Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in preconstruction estimating
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Fluent and comfortable with Microsoft Excel
- Adept at learning new software quickly
- Analytical and wired to problem-solve
- Communication-driven, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- Detail-oriented
- Exceptional in time management
- Able to multitask, maintain organization, and meet deadlines under pressure
- Flexible
- Unafraid to ask questions or share ideas
Responsibilities
- Learn to analyze costs and budgets for construction projects
- Provide accurate estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and coordinators to develop project plans and prepare and submit bids and proposals
- Review and analyze project specifications and drawings
- Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors
