About The Position

The Assistant Practice Manager is responsible for supporting the Practice Administrator in the smooth and efficient operation of a designated POD within Georgia Urology. This role involves assisting with the development of high-quality, cost-effective, and integrated clinical care, fostering effective collaboration between locations, physicians, and other affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach to providing services and fulfilling objectives. The Assistant Practice Manager will also assist with employment relations issues and decisions within the POD, work with the Practice Administrator, staff, and physicians to enhance patient experience, reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve quality goals. Additionally, the role requires ensuring compliance with office and clinical operations and modeling Georgia Urology’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare organization in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Experience in practice administration in a medium to large setting.
  • The ability to organize staff and other resources to support Providers at all levels in order to provide an excellent experience for the patient.
  • The ability to work with physicians, staff, and professionals across multiple settings and locations.
  • Information systems capabilities and an appreciation for the data required to make meaningful management decisions within the POD.
  • A strong foundation in clinical knowledge as it relates to supporting a surgical practice in an office setting, including an understanding of workflows, patient care processes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Must have working knowledge standard software programs.
  • A valid State of Georgia Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with NextGen is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with employment relations issues and decisions within the POD.
  • Work with the Practice Administrator, staff and physicians to produce an excellent patient experience, help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve quality goals and objectives, analyze and utilize information to develop and support management decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with office and clinical operations.
  • Model Georgia Urology’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated by the Practice Administrator.
