The Assistant Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day fuel terminal and liquid fuels operations for a U.S. Navy installation. As part of the management team, this position coordinates with contractor management, employees, and U.S. Government personnel across all annexes to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Navy regulations, and safety standards. The Assistant POL Superintendent ensures operational readiness, efficiency, and environmental compliance of POL systems, including storage, distribution, and fueling operations. This role provides a full range of POL and aviation fuel support services and logistic support for Naval Support Facility (NSF) DG, its tenant commands, and all user activities afloat and ashore, ensuring uninterrupted mission-critical fueling capability. Duties include managing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supervising fuel system technicians, and ensuring support services integrate effectively with related areas such as fire protection, logistics, facility services, equipment maintenance, and grounds maintenance.
