About The Position

ChampionX has future and immediate hiring needs for experienced Manufacturing Blend Operator I (Plant Operator I) professionals in Scott, LA to support our operations team. The Assistant Plant Operator is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operations of plant operations. This includes all aspects of producing, manufacturing, blending, storing, and handling product. Maintains the highest standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and environmental awareness at all times. Responsible for proper documentation and communication of important information to leadership. This role is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months to 3 years of relevant manufacturing, production, blending, warehouse, or plant operations experience
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in chemical manufacturing or plant operations
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience
  • Experience working with pumps, blending systems, filters, or automated control systems
  • Experience with inventory processes and production documentation
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Complete most work functions within production operations
  • Complete general forklift duties and operate yard truck
  • Safely and reliably collect samples and transfer bulk raw materials to and from tankers and storage tanks
  • Safely and reliably package finished products to and from pails, drums, IBCs, SS totes, tankers, and bulk storage tanks
  • Operate mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, mixing equipment, filters, and automated control systems used in packaging products
  • Complete and comply with all safety initiatives and certification requirements, including all near miss and incident reporting
  • Be accountable for the data entry of production tickets, goods receipts, and shipping documentation
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment is always maintained
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and processes
  • Comply with all applicable ISO requirements
